Most research on sauna health benefits points to 80–100°C (176–212°F) as the optimal range. Below that you may not be generating enough thermoregulatory stress to trigger meaningful adaptation. Above 100°C, sessions should be kept short.

It depends on the experience you want. A traditional Finnish sauna typically runs 10–20% humidity for dry heat, while throwing water on the stones can push it to 40–60% for a more intense steam experience. Higher humidity makes the heat feel more intense and increases sweat rate — lower humidity lets you stay in longer at higher temperatures.

Mount it at head height when seated, on the wall opposite the heater for the most accurate ambient reading. Avoid mounting directly above the stones where steam concentrates.

Yes. The unit is rated up to 120°C, well above the upper limit of most home sauna use.
